About

This is a blog chronicling the events of the day in the lives of Sarah Munson and Brian White. The name of the blog comes from a discussion they had many years ago about starting a foundation for philanthropic purposes. Then and now, they did not have the millions of dollars generally called for in establishing a philanthropic foundation, but they could at least come up with a classy, bordering on pretentious, name for it. Sagemore seemed to fit the bill. In fact, it was such a great name, in the absence of those elusive millions, they decided it was as good a name as any for a blog.

Sarah and Brian currently live in the Gobi Desert in Mongolia where Sarah is conducting research for her masters thesis while working as a teacher at the local secondary school. Brian is along for the ride and spends his time working on various IT and public policy projects.
